The suits in Tokyo (sarariman in Japanese) work from early morning until well into the evening.  After work it is pretty standard to go out for a beer (or five) with coworkers before heading home on a super crowded train, going to bed, and getting up and do it all over again.  A crazy life.  I prefer teaching English and working with kids.  The salary isn't as wonderful but if teachers made a lot of money they wouldn't have anything to complain about.
