Yukiko and Jeffrey , you look special today. What a beautiful couple you are ! Congratulations ! As
a Japanese Mom I would like
to speak about my third son Jeffrey a little.
It was about 6 years ago. He began to work with us as an Assistant Language Teacher. Tall and blue eyes were the symbol of cross culture
from Canada. He had to move 7 different junior high schools and
some elementary schools. He was loved by all the students and kids because he is good at teaching English and flexible to any
type of the students. As
you know Jet Program started 20 years ago. I have known
more than
30 foreign young teachers through this program.. But I'm sure he's
the No.1 teacher. From the beginning, he was much different from others. Jeff tried to master Japanese by making flash cards.
He put time
to good use to master the language and understand the Japanese people. His today attests his diligence. I
placed great confidence in his skills as a teacher. So we could challenge a
lot of ideal lessons unprecedented so much like Pythagorean theorem lesson
without Japanese or quick response interviews with 160 students at
noon recess and after school. Jeff's
father and mother had better take Videos and textbooks back to Canada as a souvenir. Because Jeff has become famous as an
editor or
actor in kid's English world. A
lot of dramatic things happened in Mobara. He had many good friends there. Yes. he really enjoyed his youth in Mobara. I was happy
to observe it. One
day last year I was introduced a smart and cute lady. That was Yuki. Yuki
is charming and positive to create the life. Jeff is honest and pure-minded.
They could meet the best half at last. I don't know who will take an
initiative in
their newly married life, but they'll make a wonderful family like their father and
mother. We
take each other as husband and wife and promise to love each other truly, for
better, for worse , for richer ,for poorer ,in sickness and health all the
days of
our life. Now
my husband has been ill in bed since June by the cerebrovascular. People Yuki
and Jeff, please do not forget your starting point. Keep your eternal love forever. I'm
always beside you.
Your
Japanese Mom
