If you read my page a few months ago about recycling, you know that recycling over here is in full force.  BUT if you want to recycle an old electronic appliance, it costs you money (around 50 bucks).  As with any other country, mare people over here don't care so much about the environment if it means forking over their own money.  This bankrupt electronics store in Nishiwaki has become a burial ground for old appliances.  Unfortunately, eyesores like this are not rare over here and you can often find appliances dumped out in the middle of a field or at a beach.
