Last Monday Shinobu and Daichan came to visit us from Whistler for a couple of days. (Thanks again for the Kraft Dinner!!!) On the 28th we all went out for dinner in Tokyo with a bunch of other friends that Yuki worked with in Whistler. Yuki and I thought that it was just an opportunity for everyone to get together. I guess someone told the manager of the restaurant ahead of time that we had just got married. He surprised us with his congratulations and some roses for Yuki. And free dessert. You all know how I like free things!!! On Thursday we sent out an email to all of our friends in this part of Japan announcing a party that we are having on the 13th of July. It will be another wedding celebration thing and a chance for us to say goodbye to all of our friends before we leave Funabashi. I am looking forward to it and hope that everyone can make it. If you want to check out the website click here or go to jeffandyuki.tripod.ca/partyininage.htm and have a look. The site is all in Japanese though. As for the ring, no word from Costco yet. Yuki is getting a bit anxious. I will go to Osaka with Yuki at the end of June and we may buy one down there if we don't hear from Costco beforehand. There is a Costco type outfit down there and Yuki's sister is a member. I will keep you posted. As for the wedding itself, Yuki went down to Osaka on the weekend of the 26th to see her family and to check out the place where we are thinking of having our wedding at. When she came back she had found yet another place. She liked the place in Osaka too but wants to check out this other place too. Let's hope she can choose somewhere before August 31st (actually she says she will decide by weekend).
