What is there to do in Japan?  Well you can study Japanese.  I only study formally two nights a week but I keep myself busy the rest of the time with my own studies.  Yeah, I am a geek but the studying has sure paid off and it makes my life over here a lot easier and more interesting.  This picture is a shot of the study group I am in on Friday nights.  We study the newspaper from 6pm until 9pm.  I am pretty beat by the end of that so I usually head home afterwards.

Other things to do here are endless.  I haven't been doing karate this time around.  I have been trying to keep in shape by visiting the local swimming pool/gym.  Actually it is more than your average swimming pool.  It is the prefectural pool with two Olympic pools and a great gym.  And a hot tub!
